Pretty rough weekend!

Well I decided to post these lovely pictures because
this is my journal, pretty much. I've been teaching
between 7 and 9 classes a week at a few different
gyms. On Friday I team teach with another
instructor. She was teaching the first half of the
class and was having us do sprints in the
parking lot. On my 4th time across, don't ask
me what happened but before I knew it, I was
heading for the asphalt. I remember thinking,
"what the heck, I'm falling, why?!" Then I
remember thinking that my face was going to
hit and I wanted to save my teeth so I turned
my head a little and tucked my chin. Well
this picture is day 5. I came home and woke
up Linds. Then I started to cry. I insisted on
going to work and Lindsey insisted on driving
me and not letting me. I ended up going
home. Cortney was at my house when I
got home. Ashley came home and Chelsea
took off work to stay all day with me. Life
came to a stand still because of my
clutziness! Sweetest girls ever!
Along with my knee, hip hands, knuckles, wrists
my shoulder took some of the hit also.
This is day 3. Hidious, I know but remember
this is history. Yesterday, (monday) I went to
work and around noon I started feeling dizzy.
I started getting new brusing and swelling and
it scared me because I felt like I was listening
to people but not really figuring out what they
were saying. I called Chelsea because I knew
she was just at Oakridge swimming, and told
her to come get me. I hadn't been to the
doctor yet and I felt like maybe I should go
because I didn't want to get any worse.
Paula met us there. Of course I have a
concussion and I need to rest for a while.
I can feel like this for about 2 to 3 weeks!
Good heck, so frustrating!
Do you think it's broken? When Chelsea came over this weekend we
did a few sewing projects because I'm sick
of sitting around. Chelsea made the black
and white square that she stuffed with
grocery sacks, all by herself.
P.S. This accident has nothing to do with
the fact that I turned 50! I will be back soon!

Forgot this picture in last post!

I couldn't leave this picture out! What a
cute idea!

My Surprise and Sarah is 3 months!

This is a picture of the Westgate Hotel where Paula
and I spent a night. A few weeks before I called
Paula and Jacki and decided for all of our birth-
days, I wanted us to go up to Park City and have
dinner and spend the night. (Sorry LeAnne!)
Well because of Jacki's last trip to the hospital
it was just Paula and I. I had no idea what
the place would look like so we were pretty
excited to see that it was gorgeous!
Here is a picture of our room. We went up on
June 10th. It was the beginning of my big
50th celebration! We went to dinner and be-
cause all the shows started too late we got
a red box and went back to the room. Paula
enjoyed watching that on her own because
by surprise, I fell asleep! The next day we
got up and worked out and then went shopping
like it was Christmas. We had so much fun!
On my actual birthday, I had the day off of work.
First Ashley and I went into Salt Lake and met
with a flower/caterier lady. Then we came home
and I had told the boys that we would have to do
something fun. I told Chelsea to pack a lunch and
I would meet them at the park. It was so nice!
We ate our lunch and I told Chelsea that this
was the best thing ever, to be outdoors, which
I love and to eat a sack (homemade) meal. I
also pointed out the fact that we were going to
Cortney's for dinner and not out to eat. Does
anyone else get sick of going out? I like it
but not all the time. We brought bread and
the ducks were not hungry at all, except for
this overgrown one that loved all the bread,
as you can see!
Well we got home from that and I did a few things
around the house until Lindsey and Ashley got
home. We were going to Cortney and Rodger's
house for dinner. When I got out in the garage
Lindsey and Ashley were all ready to Lindsey's
car. I asked her why she was driving and they
said just to get in. When I got in, Ashley was
behind me. She said, "Now don't get mad", as
she put a blind fold on me! We drove around so
I really couldn't tell where I was at, but we
ended up at Nichol's Park right below us.
They helped me out of the car and this is
what was waiting for me!
I couldn't believe it. Everyone showed up for
my birthday. Chelsea pointed out that we were at
the park again! I loved it! Everyone brought a
sack lunch so we ate and then of course
Cortney had a game planned.
She had us divide up into 2 teams. We had to
go to each station and do different excercises.
Jumping jacks, push ups, sit ups, bicep curls,
jump rope. It was very fun!
Everyone participated! It was hilarious!
Oops, at the very end there was a picture
of the questions she had everyone answer.
I will be downloading that picture because I
want it in my book! Whoever guessed the
right answers got the prize. 1st prize was
a jar of peanut butter! Wahoo! (It was Ashley)
and then the 2nd place team got suckers!
Love this picture!
Me and my sisters! All those that
could come.
Then they had me open my gifts. I got a lot
of nice things! Then I opened this gift from
my girls. I opened and it was a book they had
made up for me. It was beautiful!
It started from when I was born, through Jr. High,
High School, my mission up to current. Then
there is 2 pages of each child and their families.
Then they had written down some of their most
memorable times or things about me. I started
to read them out loud because everyone was
gathered around listening but I couldn't get
through a lot of it. I was laughing and crying at
the same time. It is something that I will always
cherish forever!
After we went and played kickball. That
was a blast.
Honestly I have the best kids in the world!
They mean the world to me! Thank you
so much. On the back there was a picture
of Annie because they didn't want to forget
her and then it said "You're old"! I will
be 50 anyday if that's what it takes to see
my kids grow old like me! (Tee Hee!)
And . . . . . . don't think I would forget Sarah's
3 month old pictures! Most of us call her
Sarah Sue and Isaac wonders why they didn't
name her Sue instead of Elizabeth! She is
beautiful! (Sorry Chels, her flower is in
the middle!)
The boys leave to be with their Mom for a month
so I had them spend the night. Because they
never get to feed her with a bottle they did
all the work. They loved it. So did Sarah!
Great job!
This weekend Joey took the boys up camping
so Chels and Sarah spent the night. I got
to sleep next to little Sarah all night! When
she is really tired and ready to sleep, up go
her hands to get comfortable!
Life is good!

Memorial Weekend!

The weekend wouldn't be complete without
going to Jack and Kev's house. Lately they
have been pulling out the volleyball net.
The ball kept getting stuck in the big
pine tree. (About 5 times!) I think it
was just as much fun having them
all get it out as it was playing the game!
Jordan, Paula, Cortney, Lindsey, Chantell, Chole!
Saturday morning Lindsey and I wanted to go
on a hike. I called Cort and Rodg and they
joined us. Then we headed to Ogden so
I called Paula and her and Jan were good
enough to join us. We had a good time!
Having fun!
We look pretty serious!
Look how pretty!
We made it to the top!
Of course the boys had to do
something dangerous!
Good sports who went on a hike with
their mom!
My sweet sister who climbs the mountain
almost everyday!
I guess they were showing how tough they
were for making it to the top?
On the way down, Linds and Cort found
an old cart. Well of course they had to
ride it down the Mountain! I'm not sure
if Lindsey liked it but by the look on
Cort's face she isn't going to let her out!
Off they go!
Enjoying it a little too much!
Fun hike!
On Sunday evening Chelsea and Joey
invited us over for a barbeque with
Joey's family also. It was delicious.
I need to learn to take more pictures
of everyone! I did take one of Chels
but her eyes were closed and the boys
didn't get there until later on because
they were with their mom.
Debbie, or Aunt B was holding Sarah. These
pictures happened in about 15 seconds.
Priceless!
Life is good!
Or is it?
Everyone's laughing at me!
I think they still love me though!
They're still laughing!
So dramatic!
This is Joey's Grandpa Bill. Great guy!
Monday morning I met Joey and the boys
to go on a hike up above their house. They
live about 2 seconds from the trailhead.
This was Isaac at the first of the hike!
Yikes, it was going to be an interesting
hike at this point! He would get so nervous
with any type of slant on the path!
Handsome Mountain Men!
and interesting looking "G" ma!
Still a little rough on the crossings! He warms
up though. Keat was a pro! Well of course
he hunts with his dad all the time!
There was a little camp spot and we decided
to sit down and take a rest. You can't see it
in this picture but the sun was out and was
on Joey's back. Because of the sweat, steam
was coming up from his back. He was smokin'!
On the way down the mountain Isaac was doing
great. He took off running and I had to keep
up with him. It was a blast. He kept yelling,
"I love running down hill!" Well so do I, so
we would get about 5 minutes ahead of the
hunters, who incidentally scoped out
fresh mountain lion tracks! Well it was
all good until Ike got going a little too
fast and ran and crashed off the trail about
one too many times. It was all good though!
Give him a few more years and I won't be
able to keep up!
It was a great Memorial Weekend!

Ashley's Big Day is "Finally" Here!

Dave's friend asked Ashley and him to go on
a plane ride Saturday morning.
Well look what happened!
Dave and his friends did this in the wee
morning in Bountiful. It took 800 garbage bags!
If you zome in on the picture you'll see his
friends! It is so Dave to say "Marry Me Ashley!"
By the look on her face I think there was no
question what the answer was or how excited
she is. Congratulations! Big wedding day is
8-9-10!
