Savannah, Georgia ~ Lindsey and Brynn!

On Wednesday April 23th, Chelsea,
Sarah and myself took off to see
Lindsey! This is little Sarah listening
to my ipod. I need to figure out how
to post a video because she has
some sweet moves with her shoulders
and hips as she dances away!
She was the best on the plane. People
would comment to Chelsea of what
a good baby she was!
We had a lay over in Dallas so we grabbed
something to eat. Sarah stretching out
and taking advantage of her time.
Back on the plane again!
These are a little out of order, but Lindsey
and Brynn had all ready decided to sleep
on the couches while they gave us
their beds. What nice hosts! (I mean
really, do they look that happy about it!)
I accidentally deleted the cute picture of
Chelsea standing in front of their front
door. This was Lindsey making sure
Del Sol would run smoothly as her
and Brynn took off the time to
spend with us!

They live right above their store.
Here they are doing their thing!
Now wouldn't you buy something
from them!
This is one of the little side streets that you
drove down to get on River Street. When
Chelsea first told me to turn I questioned
her because it looked like I was driving
down a river bed. The roads were all
cobblestone!
Sarah checking out the merchandise!
We walked to lunch. It was one of their
favorite restaurants ~ Papillote!
That evening we got the pleasure of watching
one of their dances they do when they are
bored, or not watching Lost!
When we arrived, I asked them which they would
like, go out to eat or home cookin! They wanted
homemade meals. We did a little of both. The
first night they requested lasagne.
After dinner it was Sarah's favorite time!
Bath, bath, bath! She will crawl up to it
and point and say bath! Lindsey had a
little one on one time with her!
All clean and ready for the night! This is
how they slept every night!
Good morning!
Getting ready for the day. She has to
brush her teeth!
One day we went to the Bonaventure cemetery!
It went forever.
Lindsey held Sarah while she sleept the whole
time. (I think she missed her!)
Then she woke up and they played!

Yes, Lindsey is always entertaining Sarah. This
is there little kitchen window that they love.

Just out on a little walk. Brynn
went in to help work at the store. In Savannah
there is an area that has "squares". In the middle
of the blocks there are just little park benches,
statues or fountains. There are 24 of them.
It is so pretty!
I forgot to mention that Sarah, before we left,
had a slight ear infection. She did so great but
her pacifier was her new best friend!

About 500 feet from their balcony, there was
the river. On the other side and a few miles
out, it was South Carolina. This is what would
go up and down the river. Look at what is on
there. The things were huge! That's what
you see semi's pulling behind them. There
horns were pretty funny. Just ask Brynn
and Lindsey. They would go off at 2:00 a.m.
(We couldn't hear them in our little
comfortable room!)

Our afternoon at the beach. It was beautiful!
Lindsey was getting Sarah use to the sand,
but not for long, her mom took her off
to see and feel the ocean for her first time.
As you can see, she didn't even want to set her
feet down. She finally progressed to, set me
down and let me go! She loved the feel of
the sand in her hands.
We made a little lunch and just relaxed!
Of course Lindsey had to get a football and
and play. Go ahead and ask her. She can
throw better than any boy on the beach!
Now her mom, not so much!

Thanks to Brooke and Mike, they told us about
the Crab Shack on Tybee Island. You could eat
inside or out. The waitress suggested inside
because of Sarah. They had pits with fire in
them if you sat outside. Lindsey pretty much
eats everything now. Even FISH! She
says she's growing up. She has even changed
her walk. (Hilarious!)
They had live gators and check out the parrot.
This was not Sarah's best experience. When
Lindsey walked her up to it it squawked so
loud it made everyone jump and Sarah
burst into tears!
At an open market they sold these finger
puppets. Sarah loved them so I just had
to get her some. She knows what the
lion says!
I got her the parrot and the alligator to remind
her of her tragic experience. (That doesn't
sound right at all!) It would keep her
entertained on the plane ride home.
Once again, listening to my ipod. She was so
particular of holding one in each hand and
holding them up to her ears and dancing!
Just a block away there are 3 candy stores.
They had made it a habit to go down
each night. They would hand out free
parlines. My favorite was the buckeyes
and black licorce taffy. They had peanut
butter fudge also. Uhm. . . .they've
decided to cut back a little though.
It's delish!
Hangin out on the dock on Savannah side.
We went across the bridge, over to the South
Carolina side, well almost So. Carolina. We
went to an arts and crafts show. It was fun
to look back over to where they live.
It's always fun to take pictures of Lindsey
because they are never boring!
This is their walk to work everyday. Real tough!
If you know anything about Savannah
you know it is the 2nd most haunted
place in the USA. We decided to take
a walking tour. Tara was our guide.
She had some amazing stories. Not
all were particularly scary, but a lot
of interesting history! She told us to
take 2 pictures of everything just in case
something showed up in them. Cool stories
about the Pirate House also about yellow fever
and the real meaning of Ring around the Rosies.
Chelsea's request was roll up pancakes made
by Lindsey. Look at Chelsea, I swear she looks
like she is 16 again!
I can't tell you how much fun we had. If you
get a chance go and visit. Lindsey would love
it. I really really want to go back but I'm
saving up for a possible cruise at the end of
May that we would all leave out of Florida.
Little Sarah on the flight home. Her and
Chelsea were so good to travel with. I loved it!
Thank you Lindsey and Brynn. Amazing time!
What a great experience to have. When I asked
Brynn which placed you liked better, Key West,
Florida or Savannah, she chose Savannah.
There is so much to see.
Love you!

  4. I can't wait to go (at this end of this month!). Chelsea's hair is so long and she's looking so young for being a mom (no surprise..good jeans). I love the pic of Lindsey with her phone sticking out of her cleavage. Wish I could do that... ):
Beautiful pics and fun details. Thx!
